Emmy (Canadian Champion Kressida vom Welfenhof) was born on 7th February 2016, and she was bred by Simone Frankenberg of vom Welfenhof Cavaliers in Germany. Emmy comes from fully health-tested lines; her mother has an MRI A scan at 4.5 years of age, and her maternal grandmother has an MRI A scan at 7 years of age. Her father is also MRI clear, as is her paternal grandmother - such extensive testing is quite hard to come across in Cavalier King Charles Spaniels. Of course, her parents are heart-clear as well.

Emmy's pedigree consists of some great Timsar lines, including Timsar Miss Teeq, Timsar Miss Chief and Timsar Master of Ceremonies. Her grandmother, Angel's Pride Gentle Dream is litter sister to UK Champion littermates, Angel's Pride Gentleman and Angel's Pride Gentle Star, and their third sibling, AKC GCh. Angel's Pride Gentle Maid lives in the US. Emmy is also linebred to UK Ch. Maibee Make Believe.

Emmy's name was inspired by actress Emmy Rossum, who played Christine in Phantom of the Opera. Her registered name, Kressida is derived from Cressida, a character in The Hunger Games who rebelled against the Capitol by helping create "propos" for Katniss.
